Your giving changes lives
Dear Lincoln Avenue Baptist Church,
I wanted to write a letter to everyone in the congregation to deeply thank all of you for having been so caring and wonderful during our stay at Family Promise. Thanks to your church, my family and I had a sanctuary to stay in during our time of being homeless. Your generosity filled us with hope and strength when we needed it most.
Since then, my daughter graduated from college, my sons have been excelling in school, my older son applied to the CHP, and I completed my cosmetology courses to become a certified cosmetologist. We got a dog! Through it all, God has blessed us and brought beautiful souls into our lives. I am so fortunate that our lives have been filled with wonderful memories and that they helped us transform the scary and sad moments into life lessons. God bless you all, and I am just going to end this letter by including a bible verse I love.
Isaiah 54:10 – “Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken, nor my covenant of peace be removed, says the Lord, who has compassion on you.”

GIVING CHANGES YOUR LIFE TOO
Giving is a powerful expression of our love and faith. Allowing us to support those in need. Through your giving, we provide food for the hungry, care for the sick, and offer hope to the hurting, just as Jesus did during His time on earth. Jesus led by example, giving of Himself completely—and ultimately sacrificing His life for us.
As followers of Christ, we are called to honor God with our tithes and offerings, giving 10% of our income to our home church as an act of obedience and trust. Malachi 3:10 reminds us of God’s promise: "Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this," says the Lord Almighty, "and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it." When we give faithfully, God provides abundantly, blessing us beyond what we can imagine.
